SPC: by the shore

H_beach_heart

I love how the dodgy lens of the Holga gives a nostalgic feel to each image . You can’t help but feel a bit of nostalgia when you’re walking along the shore you’ve walked along your whole life. Living back in my home town as I do, I often find myself in locations that dredge up memories from the past, some good, some bad, some downright hilarious. It’s like walking through a photo album.

  5. Somehow your Holga pictures bring me back to my childhood…Like being ten and slowly siping my grandmother’s homemade chocolate drink…
    I dunno’ why…
Your pictures..all of them are simply wonderful!
ps: My deepest sympathy to your toenail…It is at peace.

  6. Just a moment before I sat down to read this (had to go and get a cup of tea first, you know)–I smashed my little toe into the dresser and am aching in sympathy for your poor lost nail! I always love the odd look of Holga photos…your beach heart is especially lovely to me.
    Love,

I love all the footprints. I’ve been known to take pictures of them while passersby look askance, wondering what on earth I’m taking a picture of. To each his (or her) own. Love the heart. Love your heart too. Wishing you a wonderful weekend.

  9. Ooh, I have a toenail falling off story – I’ll save it for another time hehe. I know exactly what you mean about environments bringing back old memories – living in the house that I grew up in … a whole lot of memories. Beautiful photograph :)
