Status update: May 14th 2010

MIND: Sparking and swirling with plans. Occasionally short-circuiting with overwhelm. Preparing my virtual classroom for the new course starting on Monday. Reading The Fire Starter Sessions and sinking into the idea that it’s okay for my work to be called a business; that the way I view my business is how I would view my own child: with love, excitement, wonder, commitment and the wholehearted hope that it will grow, flourish and be all it can be in the world. Feeling good about choosing Danielle’s book to be my first affiliate product I share here; she’s created the biz/life-purpose manual i’ve been yearning for.

BODY: Not currently firing on all cylinders and requesting more sugary carbs than I know is good for me. Listening in to these requests and recognising when they are code words for other things, like frustration and cigarettes. When the hunger is real i choose the food that makes me feel better, and helps me work more productively; currently eggs are winning in all their delicious forms: today involves homemade pea & smoked bacon frittata (currently cooking on stove) and crunchy salad. Later there’ll be a perfectly made coffee, and a walnut & coffee biscuit from the deli round the corner. Just one.

SOUL: Excited to spend tomorrow with my family to celebrate Mum’s birthday. Looking forward to driving through country lanes and hoping to take Polaroids in the yellow rape fields. Planning to get to bed early with a book and hot tea. Counting down the hours until I can kiss his little face.

  8. Susannah –

MIND: I’m having this same business experience as you; digging the garden, watering those seeds, excited at what will happen.

BODY: “Just the one” – hah! Yeah, I’m with you…..

SOUL: Excited about tomorrow – Norwegian national day; flags, brass band music filling the street, kids marching past the palace while waiving to the king and queen….

AND I get to see my baby grandson. Ah, I’m having the exact same experience as you with Mr Wobble Head. I have fallen in love again, it is beyond words…..

And then I’m dreaming about those English country lanes. Ah…. to tour those lanes with an open Morgan….with my Brit husband to my left….and Max, the camera, on my right….
