Scanning my Google Reader this afternoon i discovered a mini blog challenge set by Darren over at Problogger (i love reading blogs about blogging, don’t you? Makes me feel all square and geeky… in a good way). The idea is to link to six of your old posts (and one by another blogger) to help your readers dig deeper into your archives. The links lead to:
- Your first post
- A post you enjoyed writing the most
- A post which had a great discussion
- A post on someone else’s blog that you wish you’d written
- Your most helpful post
- A post with a title that you are proud of
- A post that you wish more people had read
So here’s my interpretation:
My first post: Setting sail into the unknown – April 12th, 2006
A post I enjoyed writing: these early thoughts on being an auntie – little did i know that that early love would go supernova when i finally met the tiny wobble man; this post on allowing dreams also spoke to me today.
A post with great discussion: it was naughty and rude, but the post about our favourite swear words had the best comments ever ;)
From another: I’m so proud of my mate Lisa for starting her Monday Me series - inspiring!
My most helpful post: has to be the Polaroid guide… or perhaps my little series on falling in love with your self (more of those to come)
Best blog post title: Juice, Clooney & fish ‘n’ chips
And you might want to check out: this post.

Thank you so much for sharing this, Susannah. I had a great time browsing through your blog past, and putting my own link list together. Here’s mine:

I loved reading the comments on ‘Naughty Words Wednesday’ – some of those are brilliant! Thanks for sharing. I’d like to try this myself but I need an actual blog first. :)
*claps* start one! do it! do it! do it! :)
I LOVE your website design! Your e-courses look amazing, too! I’m so glad I found you through #7links : )
Looking forward to reading more about your work!
as always, diving into your archives is a pleasure.
here’s my list: http://www.kristamaurer.com/2010/07/7-links/
This is a wonderful idea! But, seeing as I just started my blog 5 days ago, I might wait a bit … ;)
x
hee! set a date to do the challenge this time next year so you can see how far you’ve come :)
This is fun.

hi Susannah, love this idea. I went straight off and did one of my own. Had to mix it with what I was going to blog about anyway today, but I enjoyed doing it.

Ooooh I’ve already read EVERYTHING many times over (and then I wonder where my time goes…) and can clearly remember the cursing comments, especially Jake’s mum’s *cuuuuuuuuuunt!*. A classic Ink-On-My-Fingers moment.
I’ve done mine here:

I am a total sucker for these things! Off to visit all other links… because I’ve got absolutely nothing else to do!
Jake’s comment was the best, i agree :-D x
Your blog is ever so inspiring, and I enjoyed taking your class as well! It even gave me enough courage to start my own photo-blog at the beginning of this year. Not enough on it yet though to answer this challenge (next year, promised!).

It’s unthinkable that anyone would plagerize your words! From reading your blog I’m thinking of starting one of my own, but it terrifies me and what in heaven’s name to I have to say that would be of interest to anyone? I’m going to take your next Unraveling course and see if it’s something I can actually ever feel comfortable doing. Thank you so much, Susannah, for sharing so much about yourself and your wonderful talent. You’re an inspiration to to many!! I can’t wait to read your book!!
aw, thanks love :) start the blog anyways! you’ll find your way, i promise xx
Love your blog!
And I love that #7links drew me out to find you.

I’m new to your blog, but have been blogging since fall ’08. I’d like to post mini blog challenge on my blog in the next week or so. Thanks for the inspiration!
it was really interesting seeing your very first post. as someone who is very very new to blogging, it’s easy for me to think that people like you have been doing this forever. but everyone has to start somewhere, right?
absolutely! :)
Oh I adore this concept! Thank you for sharing, Susannah :). I’m going to blog about it this week!!
How much fun! I found this challenge via Carolyn Rubenstein and just wrote a blog about this. Thanks Susannah!

hello! x
Thanks for the lead to Darren’s clever idea and for your own great post. I loved seeing your first post which I hadn’t read before and seeing how far you have come. Brilliant! It was great also to reflect on my first three months of blogging which I have absolutely loved.
