Welcome to the August Break, 2016!
This is a community project that has no real rules — the idea is to simply take a photograph every day for the whole of August. That’s it. Pause, look around you and shoot what you see. Live inside each moment. Pay attention to what’s there. If it’s the summer where you are it’s a lovely way to be present to the moments that will be gone before you know it. If it’s the winter, what better way to liven up your day than with a creative project to play with? :-)
You can use any camera. You could shoot every day or every other day or just on weekends. You can share your photos or just enjoy taking them without sharing. You can start and not finish. You can join in at the end.
Anything goes, loves!
We have a list of daily photo prompts so if you get stuck for something to photograph just refer to the list and get snapping!
There are also a few ways we can gather as a community:
1. Share your photos on Instagram using the #augustbreak2016 hashtag (see all the photos here!)
2. Add your photos to the August Break Flickr group
3. We also have a Facebook group this year
4. Add your blog to our blog roll (below) so we can all find new blogs to read! To add your blog just scroll down to the last pic and click the blue ‘Add your link’ button.
Note — Let’s use this blogroll to find new blogs to read and enjoy so please just add your blog link once — links to your daily posts/images should be shared in the Flickr group, the Facebook group and/or on Instagram NOT added to the blogroll list (okay, so we have one rule ;-) That way the list will stay manageable!
Happy August Break, everyone!
PS. You can join us at any time during August – this is an informal challenge so jump in whenever you like!
