PX_film1 The new film arrived this morning and I'm taking it to the hospital with me. He's not here yet… but he soon will be…

Well, I've been waiting for this day for some time now: the magic-makers at the Impossible Project announced today that we will be able to BUY NEW INTEGRAL FILM on Thursday. THIS Thursday. In other words, they have done it! But it's not that Polaroid has been 'saved' – rather, a new film has been made that will work in our beloved Polaroid cameras. New film, new images, a new era for analogue photography. I'm thrilled beyond belief and can't wait to try the film!

First we get black & white PX 100 and PX 600 film, which will work in SX-70 and 600 cameras respectively. Then later this year they'll be launching a new colour film… be still my heart!

Abby_preg3 We spent a few precious hours together today, a pocket of sister time where we talked about birth plans, ate pastrami sandwiches, bought a canvas bag (for nappies!) and generally waddled around Bath enjoying the sunshine. When Abby picked me up this morning we discovered we were wearing matching outfits – the only differences were that i had my jeans tucked into my Uggs, and my sister had a gigantic basketball hidden under her blouse… not long to go now!

Side_table I'm finding it incredibly difficult to keep my focus at the moment. I can only think about three things: the impending birth, the anniversary and the not-so-secret project I'm working on. There's no room in my head for anything else. Having said that, thoughts of my return to London keep elbowing their way to the front, as i fantasise about the sort of flat i hope to find and the places i want to visit with my Polaroid in hand. But, honestly, it's like waiting for the Christmas to end all Christmases when you're nine-years-old. And drinking coffee non-stop ;)
